2020 Calhoun-Gordon County Junior Mayor
Ja'Sarah Gray
Ja’Sarah s born 2006. She attends Red Bud Middle School and is in the 8th Grade. She is on the Student council and also a Jr. Beta Club Member. Ja’Sarah loves her Chorus class and will be participating in the Spring Musical. Ja’Sarah won the Hope Scholarship this year. Her goal is to keep her grades up till she graduates so that she can attend the college of her choice. When she isn’t at school or doing homework, Ja’Sarah, enjoys spending time reading, writing songs in her journal, and taking pictures. In her down time she enjoys spending time with family and friends. Ja’Sarah wants to thanks to all her Friends, Family, Community, School, and God for helping her reach her goals. Raising this money for Prevent Child Abuse has been a personal accomplishment for her. She understands and can relate. She plans to continue helping out in the community and raising awareness about Child Abuse.
The Junior Mayor of Calhoun-Gordon County is an important program that raises awareness for the Family Resource Center of Gordon County and all of the programs offered by the Center. It also offers students in the community an opportunity to get involved with helping other children. In addition to being part of many community events, such as parades, ribbon cuttings, city council and county commission meetings, the Junior Mayor will learn about public service and local government. These students are encouraged to be a leader and make a difference in their community.
